The West Bridge Street Bridge near the Parkway Shops and the section of the Valley Parkway below the bridge are scheduled to close later this month so that the bridge can be replaced. The exact closing date will be announced. So far, most of the utility lines have been relocated. Power lines and a water line must be moved before construction can begin. The bridge was closed during last summer so that preliminary work could begin. It reopened temporarily in November for the winter. The project is expected to be complete this summer.
