A Skate Skool for youngsters 9-12 will be offered by the Berea Recreation Department beginning on April 29 and continuing through May 20. Fee is $18. Register online by
April 21 at www.cityofberea.org or call the Rec Center at (440) 826-5890. Classes will meet at Dora Lee Payne Playground. Skaters will learn safety, skateboarding etiquette and basic manuevers. In the first week, skaters will get specific examples of tricks they are interested in. In subsequent weeks, they will learn higher ollies, manual tricks, flip tricks, depending on the skill of the individual participants. Skaters must bring their own helmets and skateboards. Knee and elbow pads are strongly recommended.
