Armed Forces Day ceremony

Military families are invited to an Armed Forces Day recognition ceremony at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 15, Armed Forces Day, in McKelvey Park.

Families can place a U.S. Flag in honor of a family member currently serving on active duty. The service member's name will be placed on the flag. Contact the Veterans Outreach Office by May 7 with the name of the service member and to reserve a flag. Call (440) 973-4567 or email wspringer@cityofberea.org.

Families can place the flags themselves or a Veterans Outreach volunteer will place it for you.

Armed Forces Day is a joint celebration of all six branches of the U.S. Military - Air Force, Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard and Space Force.

McKelvey Park is on East Bridge Street south of the Triangle.
