The International Women's Air & Space Museum (IWASM) is pleased to announce the return of Dinner with a Slice of History, a program made possible through a Cuyahoga Arts and Culture (CAC) grant.
Join IWASM as we welcome Casey Grant back for our 2023 Dinner with a Slice of History series. Grant will share her story as one of Delta Airlines’ first Black female flight attendant and share her new project – International Black Aviation Day (IBAD). IBAD honors Black pioneers in aviation for their courage and perseverance that helped open doors for people of color to pursue careers in aviation. Since her last visit to IWASM in 2015, Grant has written three award-winning books: Stars in the Sky, a coloring book Stars and Beyond, and a young readers’ educational book Stars and Beyond.
Grant’s love of flying began at an early age while growing up in a military family. After 35 years as a stewardess for Delta Airlines, Grant received her interior design degree from Harrington School of Design in Chicago. She is now the producer and host of The Fly Girl Show podcast. When not writing a new book or interviewing an aviation pioneer, she serves her community as a mental health and behavioral consultant inspiring youth during their troubled times.
