Residental Leaf Collection Schedule
Monday, October 30 - 8:00 AM
The Berea Service Department will begin the curbside collection of leaves the week of Oct. 30.
The City has been divided into three leaf pickup zones. A map of the areas is available at the City Web site - www.cityofberea.org.
Zone 1 (the North End) will have leaves picked up the weeks of Nov. 6 and Nov. 27.
Zone 2 (the Central Area and BW) will be Oct. 30 and Nov. 20.
Zone 3 (South portion of the City) will be Nov. 13 and Dec. 4.
Leaves must be piled along the roadside or at the curb but not IN the roadway or ditches and not more than 5 feet from the road. Branches, tree limbs, metal, rocks, firewood or anything else that will cause damage to the leaf collection equipment must be removed from the leaf piles.
Do not stack leaves around fire hydrants.
Residents worried about damage to their lawns can bag the leaves or put them in trash containers for pickup on regular garbage collection days.
