Rocket Day 2021

58 years ago on June 16, Valentina Tereshkova became the first woman in space. As a way to celebrate, join us for the long-awaited return on Rocket Day at the International Women's Air & Space Museum!

The team at the museum and our dedicated volunteers have been hard at work creating a safe and engaging program. Learn about the physics behind rocket and jet propulsion!

  • Session I @ 10:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
  • Session II @ 1:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.

Registration Information:

Early Bird (by June 9, 2021) - $2.00/person

Full Cost (June 9 - June 16) - $3.00/person

Ensuring Health & Safety

Masks and social distancing will be required. Unlike previous years, this event will occur outside only in the parking lot at Burke Lakefront Airport. Rain-date will be the week of June 21. Space is limited to 60 individuals, including children and adults, per session and each group will remain in pods of with their own party.
