So Long 2020….
The Chippewa Garden Club found 2020 to be a very trying year! We were unable to do many of our civic projects like Garden Therapy, Arbor Day, and Recess Gardening. There were some bright moments, however, since outdoor gardening was still doable during a pandemic. We gardened with our community gardeners, maintained the Squire Rich Herb Garden, and finished two memorial garden projects in Broadview Heights.
We are anxiously waiting for 2021 to begin, although we suspect it will begin with more restrictions on our activities. With that in mind, Chippewa Garden Club intends to continue our monthly membership meetings via Zoom. They are usually held the fourth Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. Each business meeting is usually preceded by a presentation, focused on some horticultural or floral design topic. So far in 2021 we have planned presentations on New Plants for 2021, Phenology, Pollination, Fall Planting, Kokedama, and a roundtable discussion about native plants.
If any of this sounds intriguing to you, check out the schedule on our website:
